Please meet Attorney of the Week, LaRue Robinson, who is a Partner in the Chicago office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
His practices consists of trial-oriented commercial litigation, class action defense, ERISA litigation, and investigations. LaRue took an uncommon path to big law partnership and previously served as an officer in the US Army JAG Corps for four years, where he was a lead prosecutor, military magistrate, and led high-profile investigations.
He is deeply committed to pro bono service and ranks winning a certificate of innocence for a client as one of the greatest accomplishments of his career. Remarkably, he has received numerous honors including Bloomberg Law’s They’ve Got Next 40 under 40, Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under List, Crain’s Chicago Business’ Notable Military Veteran Executives, and ERISA litigation recognition in Legal 500. LaRue serves on the boards of Grant Park Music Festival, CHICAGO COMMITTEE ON MINORITIES IN LARGE LAW FIRMS, Columbia Law School Association, and Public Service Promise.
As a former college athlete, his latest athletic pursuit is marathons. Lastly, LaRue is a graduate of prestigious institutions such as Cornell University and Columbia Law School.
